Religious Education (CCD)

CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) is a formal religious education program available to parish children from Pre- Kinder (age 4) through Confirmation. Through CCD, our parish provides education in the faith for those unable to benefit from the Catholic school system. The program is staffed by the DRE (Director of Religious Education) with volunteer catechists (teachers, co-teachers and aides) sought from the congregation. Texts used are in conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church and approved for use in the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
When: Classes meet every Sunday except the designated holidays. Classes are in session from September through May for all students EXCEPT Confirmation students. Classes start promptly at 10:15am and end at 11:30 am. Confirmation class schedules depend on the actual date of Confirmation.
Where: Classes are held on the second floor of the school building next to the church. Entrance is through the double doors located at the end of the building opposite the entrance of the church hall.
Program: IHM offers both Sacramental and Non-Sacramental classes.
